Swarna Jayanti Rath Yatra is the first step to
create feeling of pride among people for the
Swarna Jayanti Celebrations.
Swarna Jayanti Rath Yatra will start its journey on 8 October 2016 from Mansa Devi Temple at Panchkula as a first round of sensitixation and as a build up for the Swarna Jayanti Jayanti celebrations.
Swarna Jayanti Rath Yatra will pass through all the twenty one district headquarters in 21 days. The Rath Yatra will be in the form of a carnival having five moving tableaus mounted on trailers displaying the Swarna Jayanti theme and programmes to make people aware and feel proud of the State. There will be a moving theatre equipped with mega size LED screens for video display and hydraulic stage for choreographed live performances. There will be around 100 folk artists with the Rath Yatra. It will take a small halt in the enrout villages to perform cultural programmes. Rath Yatra will go around the city and thereafter will be stationed at a designate place where cultural programme will be organized.
